We warmly invite all participants of the ENAEM-COER 2023 Wave Energy Workshop to take the opportunity to explore Buenos Aires and experience the vibrant energy of this beautiful city.
From world-renowned landmarks such as the Obelisk, Plaza de Mayo and the colourful neighbourhood of La Boca, to the trendy bars and restaurants of Palermo and San Telmo, there is no shortage of things to see and do. For those interested in history and culture, we recommend visiting the National Museum of Fine Arts, the Museum of Latin American Art, or taking a guided tour of the Teatro Colon. Don't forget to indulge in the local cuisine, which is renowned for its delicious meats and wine. We hope you enjoy your time in Buenos Aires and take away many fond memories of your stay
Visit the historic Plaza de Mayo and Casa Rosada (Pink House), the official presidential palace.
Stroll through the colourful and lively neighbourhood of La Boca and visit the famous Caminito street.
Explore the trendy and bohemian Palermo neighbourhood, with its many shops, restaurants, and nightlife.
Visit the beautiful Recoleta Cemetery, where Eva Perón is buried.
See a tango show and take a lesson to learn some of the steps. Typical and authentic 'milongas' (tango dancing floors), are recommended: La Viruta - This milonga, located in the Palermo neighbourhood, is known for its lively and welcoming atmosphere. It attracts both locals and tourists and offers classes before the dancing starts; El Beso - El Beso is one of the oldest milongas in Buenos Aires and is located in the San Telmo neighbourhood. It has a traditional vibe and attracts experienced dancers.
Visit the impressive Teatro Colón, one of the most beautiful opera houses in the world.
Enjoy a delicious Argentine steak and Malbec wine at one of the city's many renowned restaurants.
